🔍 Wix Air Filter 49350 Review

Good filter. Works great in my 2014 version of 4runner Trail. does the job. I'm very picky about what I use in my Toyota SUV. Cheaper than Fram and just as good if not better. Let's be honest. ALL car air filters are overrated. I would NOT save $3 or $4 if I thought I was sacrificing my car's performance or quality. I've been using them for 2-3 years. Highly recommended.

Bought this filter and compared a FRAM filter which is better. Both for 2011 Toyota 4runner. This WIX filter was exactly as described including the foam pad, the FRAM filter was described with a foam pad but what I received was missing the pad described. The WIX filter also looks better, has more filter blades and is not as brittle as the FRAM filter. I definitely recommend this filter over FRAM!

works as it should in 4runner 2010. Appears to be a high quality filter. The additional foam filter protector found on all filters of this type is a bit thinner than most others I've seen from the Purolator or Toyota OEM. I like it because it might increase airflow a bit, but if you're driving dirt roads all the time it might be worth considering. There is no noticeable difference in mileage, but the filter appears to be of high quality. The time will show. Wix usually makes great filters.

I prefer to use OEM parts on my 2018 4Runner. Maybe I'm just getting old, but I know the OEM parts will work and my setup will work just fine. Had a service day and couldn't get an OEM filter in time and knew WIX makes quality filters so I ordered this one. It was impressive enough that I could always order them instead of OEM for the air filter. It has a metal grille which my OEM filter didn't have from the factory. It felt just as good as the OEM filter. I would use this filter again anytime.
