Update: Had to knock out the star. I've been ordering for many years. They have now replaced a smaller box and do not include an o-ring for the filter cap. A little disappointing. Used on my 2013 Cadillac Ats 3.6. Excellent, reliable and good value. Comes with an o-ring for the filter cover. The box is very thin, but no damage yet. Good buy for self oil change. It is very convenient when it is on top of the engine in my application.

After changing the oil in my Cadillac SRX and using one of the aftermarket (orange) filters for the first time. To my dismay I discovered that the inner element had collapsed. Not sure how many filters or restrictions this caused, but would never go back to anything other than WIX. Good oil filter, I use 100% synthetic oil and change the oil every 10,000 miles and filter every 5,000 miles. Please note that there is a difference between fully synthetic oil and 100% synthetic oil. Fully Synthetic uses a petroleum BASE formulation with additives, while 100% Synthetic is manufactured and processed entirely in a factory.
