🔍 WIX Filters 33003 Fuel Filter - Complete In-Line Filter (1 Pack) Review

Everything is as in the description. Use as an outboard fuel filter. Thick plastic, no glass, so more reliable and shatterproof! Clear enough to easily see the fuel or debris trapped within.

WIX makes excellent products. I want to see the fuel being pumped and with this transparent filter I can. Most others are translucent so you can't see if there's dirt in the fuel. I will buy more if needed.

If you buy an old clunker to work with one of these built in filters, ALWAYS BUY A CLEAN ONE. So you can see if you're tossing junk in your shiny new carburetor.

Robust product. The 33003 easily mounts to a standard 3/8 inch fuel line. The transparent case allows you to visually monitor the operation and condition of the filter. A high volume allows for better fuel economy and installed easily on a 72 GPH pump. Check model numbers for other fuel line sizes.

Let lots of rust through and settle in the optional 10 micron vertical filter. It is then passed through a 2 micron fuel/water separator from the auxiliary tank at the back of the truck into the main tank. I think it's a good fore pump filter but not direct injection. Without the other filters I would never have found out.

Let me start by saying that this is the best fuel filter you can put on some vehicles like a scooter. It doesn't interfere with the flow of fuel and you can see what's inside. I have used them before and have always been satisfied. They'll grab pretty much anything that could clog a carburetor. Sure, they could filter better, but that's enough. My last filter was marked 33003 on the barcode sticker but 33001 in the box so I was wrong :(

Ideal fuel filter for older models. Remains nice and transparent despite the high temperature in the engine compartment. It's so nice to see the fuel flow to diagnose the fuel system and make sure the filter is fine. I have two filters on my '76 van, one in the back of the tank and one in the inlet between the carburetor and the pump. Maybe that's an exaggeration. You might also think that the inlet and outlet hoses are brittle because they are plastic, but they are very stiff on this Wix…
