Limited mount options for a product that offers more

With 5 original mounts from WizGear I needed one with adjustable viewing angles in a new car. Unfortunately the mount clip is too thick to fit in the car air vent, I tried to add one as well so the original mount was used. This bracket was replaced with another vehicle where it could be used, but at the expense of the ability to get the vent grille just tight enough. causing the mount to slip and move when you add a phone. To top it off, the mount extended the blinds in the car to break them in

Better than expected

Bought for my daughter's 2002 4Runner and it works great. I had some reservations about purchasing it because I wasn't sure if it would block the vent. We managed to place it in the middle of the air vent on the passenger side so that it doesn't block the air but looks at her perfectly as a driver. I tried it on my 2006 Hyundai Azera and it works great too. I have the center vents wide apart so if I place it on the passenger side I have to turn my head slightly to see it when using it as a GPS.

No more balancing your phone on the speedometer.

Love it. Works perfectly. I used to have to put my phone on the speedometer and it would slide off as soon as I hit a bump, causing the app to randomly close/launch when I tried to catch it and put it back down. The device comes with 3 black steel plates that are self-adhesive. Each one is a different shape so I assume they will fit a variety of phone cases (they all work with my phone). This is how the perfect car mount (air vent design) should work! So simple, but so effective!

I don't usually write too many positive reviews but this phone mount is amazing and I wanted to give credit to the seller. I've been using Logitech's "Mainstream" vent mount for almost 3 years. This one actually costs more and you only get one when you really need two, at least on larger smartphones (was the S6 and now the S8 plus). The old mount was good, but I mounted two for reliability. Works like it should only be a few months or so.

FIRST RATING (5 STARS, purchased late January 2019): Overall this is a great product at a great price. I did NOT glue or otherwise attach the metal plate to my phone but put a loop of tape inside the phone case to hold it in place where I wanted it to stay in place while I put the case on.
