GOOD CUTTER TOOL BUTTON

Cuts well. However, one of the 1/4" shanks (with a tooth) is slightly thicker than the other, so I had to put it in the collet to finish the job. I hope I can take it off when I'm done.

Pros
  • Suitable for solid wood, plywood, chipboard, chipboard, etc.
Cons
  • Dubious purchase for the elderly

Good router bit for 1/4 " shank slots.

I bought these to cut holes in a piece of cabinet quality plywood that I will be using for flooring in my house The cutter is very sharp and cuts a clean 1/4" x 1/2" slot. It works fine on my router table. I don't think I'd want to use it in a manual router. They're aggressive. and can give a dangerous rebound. This rebound can also bend the 1/4" shaft. I am very happy with these beats. I haven't used the tongue cutter yet, so I can't comment on that.

Pros
  • Solid carbide with a sharp blade for a clean cut.
Cons
  • Non automatic

Bent shafts will cause problems

So I bought this bit set for a lot of things I needed to do in my kitchen. When I got to the countertops, which are 3/4 inch Bucher block, I reached for this piece. The block was mahogany as well as several different types of wood that my brother-in-law had lying around when he decided to put them together for a Christmas/housewarming gift. I adjusted the depth and slowly began to cut. About 90% of the way from my 25-inch overall length, it felt wobbly. And then it happened. Bit grabbed a piece

Pros
  • Note: 3/4 shank must be inserted and tightened to utilize clamping force.
Cons
  • threadbare
