Durable wooden sticks made of untreated wood

Beautiful wooden sticks to explore! I could cut and sand them to my liking. I think wood products in general are very expensive these days. Might go to Home Depot and get better value for money but oh well. I wish they gave me more for that price. I've hung a small curtain with it so far, I plan to make several more.

Well what can I say these are dowels

Not quite straight but not bad, about what I expected. If you want to pick perfectly straight dowels, you'll have to pick them up by hand. If you're not picky, don't need them all, or mostly use shorter pieces, then these are perfect. Mine were cut into pieces about 14 inches or smaller and they all look good for the purpose. They made the cross sections of a small tapered "ladder" for the bath towels using clear 1x2s for the racks. I used 3/4 inch dowels. .

Good quality and great price!

I am a Navajo weaver and I teach weaving workshops. Our looms are very simple and manually operated, and we use many different sized dowels. I found these dowels on the internet and tried them out and am very satisfied. The length allows me to reduce waste with the right size. The price per dowel was much less than what I can find at my local hardware store. I will definitely order them in the future. The best part is NO ADHESIVE LABELS TO REMOVE.

  • Impressive

Strong wood works best for woodcrafts

I have 8 solar lights that I use to clear snow every winter. They are 40" tall and the tubular hollow supports are 7/8" in diameter and made of plastic. Light assemblies are placed in holes in the floor. As the surrounding soil freezes and shrinks, the poles crack and snap. Woodpecker wood dowels are inserted about 4 inches into the posts and secured with tape. The posts are then set into the ground so that an 8 inch wooden dowel touches the ground. The headlights stay in place except when I…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
