Reduced fatigue on the user and the machine because Tri-Cuts are up to 20% lighter weight than standard single spur augers. Safer than standard augers because the Tri-Cutting edges actually reduce nails to chips and filings. Other augers can grab the nail, pushing and pulling the user along with it. Smooth, consistent holes with minimal blowout for a clean hole with every cut. 7/16" shank with quick-change power groove for easy bit changeover. Perfectly concentric design, which is guaranteed through the tightly-controled heat-treat and hardening processes, means that the hole cut will be exactly true to the diameter of the bit.

no spur on power tool parts and accessories

This accessory has no spurs that cause fragmentation in the entry hole. Don't buy if you want a clean job. I'm sure it's well done as I have a few of their spur bits and they are amazing.

Easy to sharpen, good for power drills

This is what you need. I'm an electrician and have covered 50 houses with this bit. Easy to sharpen, lightweight and cuts fast. The only complaint will be that it will sometimes get stuck when drilling 4 or 5 packs as the chips clog.

Very smooth holes and eats nails for lunch!

I am an electrician. I will say this about all of WoodOwl's nail clippers. They are not priced the same. I've used several of them from 3/4 to 1 1/2. They make very smooth openings and easily cut through nails. You can tell you've hit one just by the clicking sound and the shiny, sheared metal in the hole when you're done. You can also sharpen them several times with a simple flat file. However, the more the tip of the self-tightening screw begins to move, the more force is required to drive it
