Based on our own experience using these screws, we found them to be of terrible quality. The threads on these screws are shallow and do not hold well. We faced several issues while using these screws on an exterior project. The only positive aspect is that the screws are of the appropriate size. However, that doesn't outweigh the negative experience we faced. We would not recommend these screws to anyone looking for a reliable fastener option for their project.

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting due to exterior grade coating.
Cons
  • May corrode over time if not properly maintained.

Amazing Fasteners Best in Wood Screws

I was a bit skeptical that something this big could be self-drilling. They work very well. They are amazing. My 18 volt T-30 powered drill just pops it in. I used them to attach two 6" pressure treated racks together. Job done in less than a minute. So yes, very easy to use.

Pros
  • PPG Industries 1,500 Hour Gold E-Coat
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Great for an Eagle Scout 6x6 project using my son's stacked steps.

Great fasteners! We used them for my son's Eagle Scout project. He added top and bottom square/U-shaped steps to a series of steps on a hill. These steps were built from U-shaped 6x6 overlapping gravel filled steps. Thus the design is a lap joint for the face and legs/tails. We needed to secure the front splice in the next few steps below. I used a Makikta screwdriver (cool!). We pre-drilled some of these to extend battery life (not a good spot charging option) but then we just started using…

Pros
  • Patented ASTER quick start thread
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
