Description of ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Enhanced Woodworking Safety Kit: Feather Board, Magnetic Handle, Push Stick, and Push Blocks for Ultimate Table Saw, Router Table, Jointer, and Band Saw Protection

Keeping your fingers and hands away from sharp cutters and blades in your workshop should be priority number one for any woodworker. Thats why we have created this one of a kind safety kit!. This 4 piece safety kit is designed to be your essential safety protection to help from getting to close to the cutters or blades on a router table, shaper, band saw, table saw and jointer. From the narrow, magnetic push stick, to the versatile feather board, this kit has all the bases covered in regards to many different woodworking applications. The general idea behind these safety devices is to help you guide and control your stock when feeding through a table saw, band saw, jointer or a router table. The push blocks are generally used on jointers and some router applications, while the push stick is primarily used on table saw projects. The feather board can be mounted multiple ways and works on router tables, shaper tables and table saws. The feather board can be used on a table saw, router table or even a router fence You can secure the feather board into standard 3/4โ€ wide by 3/8โ€ deep miter slots using the innovative expanding miter bars. The feather board can also be secured using the supplied t-bolts. The t-bolts can secure the feather board to 1/4โ€ t-track slots like those found on some router tabletops and router table fences. Soft, receptive, rubber foam pads line the bases of the two push blocks. The rubber soles make pushing and controlling your stock much easier and safer then when doing it by hand. The soles are also washable with with warm water. Must let the rubber soles dry for 24 hours prior to using them again. The magnetic handle push stick is perfect for pushing stock through on a table saw. It works exceptionally well when used in conjunction with the feather board. The 4 Piece Woodworking Safety Kit includes: 1 each multi-mount feather board, 1 each magnetic handle push stick, 1 each straight handle push block and 1 each angled handle push block.

Keep your body intact.

I'm not even sure what they mean by transparency but this set has stopped me from cutting off the left half of the torso in many cases, the only problem I have is not even a self-inflicted problem product. I somehow manage to keep losing these bright orange items.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Best control for maximum precision and cutting security

Pressure blocks hold materials flush with table and saw or router fence for maximum precision while keeping hands and fingers a safe distance from blades and bits. I've been doing DIY for over 30 years and wish I had them all the time. Very satisfied and would recommend to anyone who is serious about the quality and safety of the craft.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

Good starter kit. on Power & Hand Tools

For a third of the price of a trendy 3D printing block, this set gives you confident cutting. The pusher is missing something. Small and the magnets are barely strong enough to support its weight. Feather board is good. It's good to have metal slots at an angle, cheap options usually use plastic. The pressure blocks are good and persistent. A little tight for big hands, but perfectly usable. The angles and shape of the handles are good.

Low price, low quality

Good plastic, good fits. But the sce foam used for the pads is a good choice. I figured the foam used for safety devices would be rubber rather than closed cell foam which is very slippery. The price is ok but this foam is very cheap and doesn't seem that much for the quality, cut right on the foam near the edge, someone overlooked the spices and used a piece anyway, wears out quickly. Overall, finding another provider can be a good deal, but not worth losing a finger or anything about itโ€ฆ

Measure your saw's tracks (width and height) BEFORE you order

Received yesterday and taken today to a Craftsman 10" table saw for installation and the FB rails do not fit. Too bad as I "assumed" my tracks to be 3/4" wide and they weren't. The guides on the FB are 0.746" (width) x 0.372" (thick) so be careful "most" tools with 3/4" rails. can charge you a lot of money just for the right parts. The FB seems to be of good quality as does the push rod and pads so I keep everything and just modify the guides on my grinder to suit my tracks. Broad.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Guard

Featherboard didn't fit my Dewalt DWE7480 table saw

This is a great design but the featherboard didn't fit my Dewalt DWE7480 compact table saw. There is not enough clearance in front of the blade to position the rubber so that it is completely in front of the blade. Placing a pegboard close to the saw blade can be dangerous as it can force the work piece against the saw blade, causing it to bind and kick back. There were no problems with the product, but unfortunately it did not fit my table saw. One star deducted because nowhere in the productโ€ฆ
