Great Double Flare Tool Kit, works great and is worth every penny.

I have been using this tool for many years. The previous one, bought at an auto repair shop, helped a lot. Never had any problems with leaks. It works the same as this perfectly adequate tool but costs less money. Thanks for Revan Wastor. This set works very well following the instructions. Be sure to deburr the tube inside and out. Do not overtighten the clamp rod, but be careful not to slip. Protect the cone on the first stage of the dual flare with oil or brake fluid. Some heat and a vise…

Pros
  • Heavy-duty fork forged from heat-treated steel for durability and strength.
Cons

Not good! - Tools and Equipment

This is when you get what you pay for, a little bit! If you've ever used a good flare tool, you would never use it. I've read the reviews and can't believe anyone can rate this as a good tool. It was about the brakes mentioned here, it could be your life and someone else's. If you spend another $25 you can get a quality tool that just works, no learning curves and no bullshit. The bells I got from this looked like they were made by an amateur, I threw away the cords and bought a better tool…

Pros
  • The swivel is machined from alloy steel and is chrome plated to reduce friction.
Cons
  • Some bugs

Suitable for Double Flare and Bubble Flare

I have a 2002 Ford F150 and the long brake line to the rear brakes is rusted. I haven't done brakes in over 30 years but I decided to give it a try. I bought 25 foot cupronickel 4lifetimelines 3/16". I used the original brake line to figure out how much brake line I needed. I cut the line with a copper pipe cutter. I watched YouTube and figured out how to make one Expander Makes I knew the expander tool did a double expand but I didn't know if it would do a bubble expand down. The first time I…

Pros
  • The blow molded hard plastic storage case provides tool storage and organization, has a convenient handle for easy portability and transport, and includes instructions for easy use.

Unfortunately the return expired as soon as I tried it.

I have worked with cars for over 40 years and have rebuilt quite a few brake lines including expanders. I have an old classic rigid flare tool that I mistook for not a 3/16 inch tool. I thought it would only go to 1/4" but I had to make some 3/16" flares. So I bought this Wostore with the idea that I wouldn't need another more expensive torch tool in the long run just to make some of those 3/16" torches for this project. I regret the purchase. . This tool is very bad. After four unsuccessful…
