I bought this adapter set to have all sizes of wedge collets, although I use 3/32" almost exclusively. I have no idea how long they will last or how they can wear out but one thing is for sure the wedge collets are a great improvement over the standard split collets rough or dirty Highly recommend.

I got some of these to use with my short gas savers (lenses) (lenses) in my 17 and 26 burners. So I ordered more to keep them in all 3 torches. (17, 18 and 26). THEY WORK with 17, 18 and 26 torches IF YOU USE A SHORT TONGUE BODY OR SHORT GAS LENS. If you have full size bodies or lenses THEY WILL NEVER ATTRACT. I finally got a chance to try the Gas Saver/Wedge 3/32 (2.4mm) Collet for the CK Stubby Set. I liked it so much that I immediately wanted to buy a set for the sizes 1.6 mm and 0.040 mm. Only use this size on thinner metal. I'm buying this set to try it out. Actually works quite well. The only thing I sometimes notice when I insert a new tungsten is that it doesn't bite all the way.
