Quality ratchet

This is a quality ratchet that won't let you down. The processing is excellent, the ratchet bow is small and fits well in the hand.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not the best

Smooth as butter: hand tool

I got this ratchet as an experiment, see how it holds up, for most of my career it's been held up by one person, let me tell you I love the smoothness likes action and durable design.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Slightly torn

* Ratchet bow good and short

This is a mini version of the standard 1/4" drive ratchet. It's obviously not designed for heavy use, but it's not designed for that either. The price is a bit high , but I agree that the price is reduced since it's made in the USA Pros: * The head and handle are smaller for installing in hard-to-reach places * The arc of the ratchet is nice and short It doesn't affect usage really, but for the money tighter tolerances should apply.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Expensive

Nothing like the 3/8 or 1/2 version

I have 3/8 and Wright 1/2 ratchets and they are fantastic tools. Each has quality mechanics and feels solid and taut. This 1/4 ratchet is in no way inferior to its older siblings. It feels very fragile and the ratchet mechanism is sloppy and not smooth at all.

Pros
  • Compact design, standard 25/32" socket, heavy duty 1 5/64" socket
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Gearbox problems

UPDATE: After reopening and lubricating with super lube, the gearbox runs much better. It's not very smooth, but it works well enough .when I first got the ratchet it got stuck and stuck when I tried to use it.I thought maybe it would wear out but a few hundred turns didn't seem to change. There was a lot of headwind. I've tried opening the ratchet and spraying some lube which seems to help but not for long the detent ball isn't in the center of the anvil I thought mine might be bad but you can…

Pros
  • Has 45 teeth, a pawl and 3/4" arc
Cons
  • Very expensive
