Much darker than Adafruit and others

They are very dim, I had to increase the brightness to 14-16 to get the same result judging by the eye with the Adafruit strips set to 4 were (what is the minimum for color). Color rendering isn't exactly the same, but I won't mix them, so I don't care. They use the same non-pixel LEDs as the Adafruit, with 4 protrusions visible under the lens. I'm happy with them.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Excellent, but not a real WS2812. They are wider.

This is not a standard WS2812, this is a WS2812-b as stated on the back of a real WS2812. These patterns are about 1-2 cm wider. Otherwise they are great.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Good enough that I bought them again.

What a bargain at 17 cents each including board and assembly. I can't do that at this price! Nice replacement counter. I've also used them for clipboard lighting where color and brightness are important.

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • No

LEDs no longer work

Overall good value for money. I would continue to use it as a hobby and probably buy it again. One of the stripes was starting to lose certain colors, so I had to remove it from the project and replace it with another one. The other 4 seem solid. Very bright and easy to use.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Fair

5 pcs not 50 pcs for computer accessories

Good product but the name is misleading. There are 5pcs in the package, not 50pcs led strips. The name is clearly misleading, it seems to be a common issue with the same SongHe seller.

Pros
  • finished
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Industry Standard LED Strips

Similar to "other" multi-color LED strips at a fraction of the cost. Same chips. You can't see any difference next to each other. No price gouging.

Ideal for 3D brake lights and BlueGhozt

Pads, LEDs and resistors are permanently connected to the circuit board. The pieces also arrived with 3 sticks still attached and the other 2 attached to each other giving me the option of using them as a 3x8 array or as a 2x8 array. Leaving them sticky leaves the options open. Well done. I recommend using PCB racks for mounting, they get hot at full brightness and won't work above 5VDC. They will burn out quickly at higher voltages.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Functionality

Not all LED strips worked

I ordered this set of WS2812B LED strips and out of five strips only two worked. I sent them back for an exchange. Came in and one of the five new slats didn't work. I wired them all the same, I had an Arduino to connect them, I double checked my soldering (I used to be an electronics assembler and now I'm an engineer, I know how to solder), but I don't see any obvious problem. Maybe the first LED on the strip burned out and therefore does not transmit data to the rest, maybe there is a break…
