Good for the price!

I bought two of these for my ball python. They seem to be working fine, they don't seem to stay at the temperature I set them to, but I have to check where they're sitting almost every day. But they usually only get a few degrees warmer, so it's not that bad.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Some little things

Works well in my do-it-yourself kefir fermentation setup.

Not what I originally bought them for but they work fine! I didn't know how well they would work and expected temperatures to be lower during my kefir fermentation. I ended up having to turn it off to keep it within reach. So very happy with it. Kefir should be fermented between 25° and 40°C. This works better than I had hoped.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Some difficulties

No markings on the temperature scale

Used for reptile terrariums, the product only heats a small part and heats up enough to deform and melt the plastic. This could have been avoided if the dial had notches or markings to show how hot you set it. They are not here. The only good thing is that it comes in two packs. So if you destroy one through trial and error, the other will appear. I hope you don't burn your animals in the process!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Building strength for about 2 months.

Great heaters for the money, I would only use a 7w 11 x 5.9in for a 20 gallon tank or container unless you are using it to heat a small area in a to heat large tank. . The only problem is that the turntable doesn't have a real real meter, the turntable goes past the reading point. It's getting warm in Georgia, but for at least 2 months I run it 24/7 non-stop and it works fine.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Negative Gift

The tank is cracked, VERY hot at the minimum level.

I used a heating pad on the lowest setting and my reservoir cracked in less than an hour. During this time, the humidity in my well-regulated aquarium has halved. The mat read over 100° when the lowest product temperature was advertised as 85°. This seems wildly inconsistent as I read other reviews which I wish I had seen before purchasing. I thought I might save some money by buying this but it's costing me A LOT more now than if I had the brand I used before.

Use lowest setting for reptiles

These are very powerful heating pads. When using for reptiles, turn the knob just until it clicks. That's as far as you want to spin the wheel. I bought two of these about 3 months ago and they work great. If you turn the knob after the click (beep) is on, the temperature will rise rapidly. Keep it on the lowest setting and your reptiles will be fine. It would be nice to set the number on the dial. Remember, once you hear the "click" when you turn it on, leave it in that position. Maybe turn it

The dials are different for each carpet.

I am very happy with these for my snake bags although I had to use a laser temp reader to set the dials as each was slightly different. I check the temperature with the reader every week, but it is stable, as is the ambient temperature. I would recommend using a thermostat with them if you plan on keeping a reptile on them just to be on the safe side. And that too! They are non-adhesive so I used masking tape.
