a bit weak - paring knife

It's a decent knife but it broke in half when it fell from the height of the counter onto the wooden floor. So maybe not that strong.

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • Waited too long

Super knife without ultra expensive!$

Very good knife for the price. Lasts the blade for a long time and about 3 times through the knife sharpener and the knife will be like new again. I would recommend this knife to anyone looking for a quality knife but not too expensive.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Little things

Quality as always for kitchen and dining room

Quality as always. My original set was purchased in 2002 and is still used every day. Unfortunately, during a recent move, I lost my small paring knife. This was bought as a replacement, the quality and workmanship has remained the same over the years.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Take care of your fingers: Paring knife

My friend used these to cut limes and ended up cutting her finger really badly. We were supposed to take them to the ambulance but due to Covid we decided to tape them at home. Luckily the knife is so sharp it made a really clean cut that healed well.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide

Classic and high quality!

This is the second classic Wüsthof paring knife I've bought. The first one was bought nine years ago and it still works! I bought this one as my wife loves to cook and uses the old one for everything. Now I have one so I can help her! Good steel, good grip size, perfect blade length. Get yourself a good pencil sharpener and you can't go wrong!

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

.I still have to get used to the sharp knife!

Wüsthof makes quality products and after buying a 6 inch chef's knife I bought this paring knife. Great knife and I'm still getting used to having a sharp knife for a change! I've gone without quality knives for years and now have three Wüsthof knives, including a 5" hollow ground knife, all in the 'classic' category. Would recommend her to anyone looking to improve cooking/cooking in general!

Pros
  • quick change
Cons
  • almost never

The handle is much smaller than expected.

I bought this to compare with the Zwilling Pro 3 inch paring knife. The handle on this one was too short for my girlfriend and I. I felt like every time I tried to grab it I would cut my hand because I could only hold it with my thumb and first 3 fingers. My pinky ended up falling off and it was useless to hold the knife. I gave it 4 stars because the quality was good and it was sharp enough but not as sharp as twin.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Life Changing - Kitchen & Dining

I was visiting a friend's chef who had this knife in the kitchen and I fell in love with it and got jealous. I saw it on sale last week and bought the same one. I make for the best knife I've ever had, and girl, I use it for EVERYTHING: slicing roast beef, quartering a lime, dicing onions, slicing pears for pies. This thing is insanely sharp and easy to use. I want to buy for my sisters but one of them keeps cutting herself because we grew up with dull knives so maybe just the older sister :) .

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • old

Did I get a defective knife?

I've been using classic Wustoff knives for many years and find them to be of very good quality. I recently bought this paring knife to replace my original (which was accidentally thrown in the kitchen waste). I broke a blade in my hand while routinely peeling potatoes. The knife was fine. two months ago (and hardly used at the moment). I've never seen that in a kitchen knife and certainly didn't expect it from a $90 Wusstoff knife. It makes me wonder if I just received a poor quality product…

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Everything is fine
