So Much Smell in Sewing Accessories and Consumables

So it is exactly as described and it works. But the smell is so irresistible. I opened the package and thought they sent me a dead animal. Smells worse than a paper mill. I soaked the whole thing in a gallon of fever for a week and it still smells. Anything related to this material will be accepted as sent. It's like I've been infected with an odor virus. It's terrible. People enter my apartment and immediately faint or run away in horror. Like in a horror movie, but in all seriousness. The…

Full of false claims

I am returning this item! The title clearly says there are 15 yards (45 feet) of "polypropylene" webbing. That's a lie. Nylon straps less than 15 feet in length are included. Nylon, nothing "polypro". Huge difference. So what is made from polypropylene? Gear. I don't need this item. Do yourself a favor and avoid this misleading product.

Great extra hip belt for backpack

This kit was purchased to add a hip belt to a small backpack. Just for a day, but for now I'm optimistic. Unlike the other reviewers, you don't have to sew this. I used one of the supplied triple buckles to secure the non-locking side of the buckle. See photo. I didn't notice any odor either, unlike the other reviewers here. So far I'm happy with this cheap solution. I will update if something breaks.

Works like a champ for my front flap

The buckles and straps on my kayak's front flap have completely failed. They were so brittle that I couldn't even close them. I'm like that so it was super easy. In fact, I inserted the ends into the part that screws into the kayak and then just buckled them up. You don't have to do this and can just use the sleeve for the buckle, but it will be a lot stronger if you sew it on. They won't stretch or slip when wet and can withstand days of direct sunlight. I'm very glad I have them and even have
