This sharpener is amazing so I'm so disappointed it didn't last long. I've had my first for a couple of weeks and the motor burned out. It's a decent price so I went ahead and bought another one and it didn't even last 2 weeks. I teach 2nd grade so this "heavy" sharpener sees maybe 10-20 pencils a day, if that. I use this in class. It's not the best of the best, but for the price it will work. The suction cups are pretty much useless and since it's so light you really have to hold it when you put pencils in it. I had a heavy duty sharpener that eventually died and I could actually tell the difference in weight when it arrived.
