🔌 Enhanced X-ACTO XLR Electric Pencil Sharpener Review

Two years! I teach first grade and go through tons of pencils every day. This sharpener has lasted many years and still sharpens perfectly. I bought two pencil sharpeners for my class. I use one for regular pencils and one for colored pencils. At less than $15, this sharpener is a steal. I literally have two addons that I haven't used, but it may be a while before I need them.

Inside there is a small switch that is supposed to activate the chip catcher when it is in place. This prevents operation when the trap is disabled for security reasons. You know that kids would love to start posting videos about the "pencil sharpener problem" if they hadn't built the device that way. I have three children, two of whom are of school age. I bought this electric sharpener because I was tired of sharpening her pencils by hand. With a manual sharpener, leads break easily due to uneven torque around the center of the pencil. When I received my sharpener, it didn't work at all. After clearing things up with Revain, I went into the sharpener and found that the problem wasn't with the power cord or the motor. This was the automatic switching system that many sharpeners use. The removable plastic container has a small plastic rise. This X-Acto electric pencil sharpener was a good buy. Bought to replace another X-Acto (model 1800) pencil sharpener that lasted about three years. We use it in our house but it gets used quite a bit as we have three young children. After about six months this sharpener is holding up well. It sharpens well, doesn't make much noise, and has a fairly powerful motor.
