Suitable for baking bread

I am a lazy baker and I use a bread maker. The conflicting results prompted me to find a scale that could accurately weigh less than 100 grams and wasn't too expensive. I have been using this scale for over 7 months and it has worked very well. I've consistently had good results with recipes that require ingredients to be measured under 10 grams, often in tenths of a gram. I use 4 oz Jell-O-Shot polypropylene cups to keep the ingredients on the scale as they are weighed. Polypropylene can be…

Accessible. Exactly

This product is perfect for what I needed - it's an improvement over a kitchen or pocket scale. It's easy to calibrate, has a lot more settings than advertised, and seems very accurate. I can use it to measure the specific gravity of my brewed beer and calculate the strength fairly accurately, which tells a lot. The base unit feels pretty solid and I love that it has a built in spirit level that you can use to adjust the legs. My ONLY complaint is that I basically have to throw away the plastic

This is a great scale at a great price

I used this scale for a science experiment where I had to weigh a few strands of human hair every day. We are talking about 10 human hairs that weigh only 25 mg (see photos). The scale has excellent stability. Repeatability within 3 mg. The shield works best without a top. Just below and 4 sides. When you add a spike, the readings start changing for some reason. The screen helps avoid air currents, which of course affect the weight at this scale of measurement. It's also a good idea to turn on…

CHECK contents before use! Read please!

I've gone through many possibilities for a personal experiment at home. I was looking for something at a good price with decent accuracy and after reading hundreds of reviews - good and bad - and about a hundred different scales I settled on this one. It was well priced, with a deviation of about +/- 0.004g at its worst performance. My main concern was that the devices I received were either heavily used or broken. I was thrilled when the first device arrived and was already disappointed when…

and I needed a good quality scale for balancing RC heli blades

My 0.01g scale wore out after a few years and I needed a good quality scale for balancing RC heli blades. The 0.001g scale is extreme overkill for what I need, but the price was within my budget for a good scale and I thought I might use the resolution, if only for the mesmerizing factor. I was skeptical about the quality of an analytical balance at this price but decided to buy it and if unreliable I will return it. If the performance of the scale deteriorates, I will update my rating, but as…

Very good performance at a good price.

The scale was relatively cheap so I was concerned about its accuracy and accuracy so I weigh 6 coins to see if the claims can be confirmed. The test showed that the standard deviation of the measurements is less than one milligram per gram. In terms of accuracy, the supplied standard isn't very helpful as it was probably used for the initial calibration of the scale, but it was useful to assess repeatability, which was very good. Weighed 100 grams each. To get an idea of accuracy I used coins…

  • Very Expensive

Good buy, large and comfortable device.

We need to understand some caveats to be realistic about this. This is an electronic scale based on the same technology as the $20 scale. These aren't $2,000 lab scales. One of the problems will always be the drift - of the zero point and of every measurement. If you need to measure within 1mg, you need to allow 0.1mg. You have to spend more money. And it will be very difficult as it will be affected by the slightest change in the environment, such as temperature, magnetic fields, surface…
