Great value for chains

I just installed it so I have no idea of its durability but it installs easily and shifting is much better than with the Shimano chain which I have replaced.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • I'll keep quiet

Not worth it - Chains

Lasts about 1500 miles total and I've rigorously lubricated my chains. Looks nice but not worth the money. x10sl gold and silver chains are smoother, quieter and last much longer.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Some little things

Looks great. Feels good.

I've been mountain biking for over 30 years and I don't see myself as an equipment nob, I just ride what I like. But when I replaced the chainrings and chain on my 6 year old bike, it was like I got a brand new bike! Yes, and it looks great! Worth the money in my opinion.

I like BUT. Good for gear components

Note that the special link you use to close this may be a bit hidden in the box where the chain arrives. When I asked the manufacturer for help, they swore it would sit right on the chain, which is what I expected (maybe in a little plastic bag). It is NOT here - in my case it was UNDER the chain and loose in the box. This is not a criticism of the web - just a friendly comment.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Best version on X10SL

I have this X10SL version, titanium (gold) version, silver version and X10L silver version. All chains are great, but shifting is faster and more precise. with this release. It's also quieter than the other version. I had a long crap problem between the two middle cogs on an XTR cassette. When I put this chain on, the change was flawless. I switched back to the gold version and the long shift is back. One more thing, this circuit is very quiet.

No problem - use with 2013 SRAM Red drivetrain

I needed a new chain after pretty much wrecking my SRAM 1090, I had two quick links in the old one and twisted it badly. I've researched online and seen many people suggesting the KMC X10 and using it enough on SRAM materials to give it a try. From what I've read I believe a Duraace chain would actually be my best second choice. When I first installed the new chain (and actually the new crank) it jumped like crazy on the cassette. However, the cartridge was worn out, so I replaced itโ€ฆ

Worst chain in sports history

Didn't even last 3 months. According to Strava, I typically use the chain tester after about 500 miles. After about 2 months I noticed a noise that indicated the chain was rubbing on my drivetrain. I ride trails so this chain has stretched a lot more than .75 in less than 3 months and about 500 miles according to the chain checker. Ridiculous. I wish I had the strength to stretch a chain like this, but in my experience, SRAM and Shimano last much longer. I would really like to know when this is

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Hard to say
