The service is bad for the staff.

17 months ago we purchased a Xantrex Freedom SW 3012 Inverter Charger for our RV. One side of the 120V continuity has failed. The Xantrex service center says we have to take it off and send it in for service or drive over a hundred miles to claim it.

Fantastic inverter for RV or stand alone

Installed correctly this will work amazingly. A warranty repair was done on the internal fuse but it was painless and this thing is a beast running a tiny house and has previously used an RV system. Use proper 4/0 wires and DC fuses and it will last you a long time.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Makes me mad

Solved my problems with the power converter

We had several electrical problems in our RV that the pros couldn't explain. I bought this to replace an older Xantrex 3012 and all of our problems have been solved! We have been working for several weeks, everyone is happy! Relatively easy to install yourself and save over $1,000.

Device was DOA good for inverter

This expensive device did not work right out of the box. I had to wait 2 months to get the controller. So when I turned it on and it wasn't working properly, it started smoking at 3am. I couldn't return it. I had problems with Xantrex support and after a month of calls I was not satisfied. I'm pretty much done with any tailoring gear

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Ideal for regular trips in our van

We have a home fridge in our five wheel trailer. I knew that the one 12 volt battery that came with the trailer wouldn't be enough when we were touring the country. I have this inverter/converter and 6 6 volt golf cart batteries. It does a great job of starting up our fridge and keeping things cool on the go, and we still have plenty of battery left when we stop on the road at the end of the day. We put solar panels on the roof, and with the two together, even after two days of travel, we never

The apartment is sold as restored. Misrepresented! Wrong and harmful.

The unit will be sold after repair. Misrepresented! Wrong and defective fans were installed. This device failed for the fourth time. The serial number has been removed so the movement is not covered by the warranty. The RV providers did not respond to a troubleshooting request. First malfunction. The device just stopped working. The wrong fans were installed and the device overheated. Since the serial number has been removed, Snyder makes no warranty. Repair cost over €200. Second error Input…

Quiet, seamless but requires disconnecting the battery.

Bought this Xantrex 815-2012 along with a new controller to replace the old RS-2000. I really like this new inverter - it's quiet and runs smoothly. Two important points: 1. With my old RS-2000 I found that these units can fail in the OPEN state if they fail. Due to the way my trailer is wired, if the inverter fails, everything on leg A of my AC panel goes offline. To avoid this in the future, I connected the AC input and output cables to/from the inverter in a separate junction box next to the

Very Bad Guarantee Best Inverter

This is a great inverter. I reinstalled 4 mounts after 4 calls to tech. Support and reading the installation guide. Using duel entry and exit. I have 40 feet. After changing the changeover relay to 50 amp operation, I ran two #6 AWG wires to a 30 amp glass on each leg from there to the input of the inverter. coming out of the inverter to a series of 30 amp barkers. My RV has a split panel with side A and side B. Side A feeds half the load and side B feeds the outside. After speaking to tech…
