Expensive: networking products

Works great but for $119 you can get 3 pods from xfinity - that's just one. So someone buys 3 from xfinity, parses them and makes money. just saying

Pros
  • Not only useful for intended purpose
Cons
  • There are disadvantages too

Doesn't help at all

In the kitchen of our house there is no difference in connection/speed/Internet use after installation, it's only 2 rooms away from the house modem. The rooms of the house are of standard size. So maybe there is only 30 feet between the modem and the booster/unit. so useless

Pros
  • also understandable for the old one
Cons
  • No performance

Will not work with Whole Home & Mesh Wi-Fi Systems

I have received the module from this seller before and it has worked great. This second one doesn't work at all. I think it could be bad. I was hoping it would work as well as the previous one, but no luck. I think these products are designed to work in sets of three? If you're thinking of just buying one, check out Comcast first. This may be part of the problem, but the seller doesn't talk about it.

Pros
  • Complete Kit
Cons
  • Negative Experience

This device does not work!

I have an Xfinity router that works at speeds of up to 400Mbps over WiFi at a distance of 10 feet on a separate floor. I have two other routers running Ethernet elsewhere in the house. I HOPED this device would allow us to have a router, but after several days of moving it from room to room, outlet to outlet, reinitializing each time. By completely disabling other routers I couldn't make any difference. Maybe it was defective, but after a few days I figured it out.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • A cheap price

Doesn't work for me

The modules basically repeat the signal from your main router, they also receive the signal from each other, but they don't work in all cases. In my case, my powerful TP-Link router worked better because the modules were weak and the signal was unstable. Xfinity Support checked this and came to the same conclusion. When they work, you can move seamlessly from room to room and not have to worry about changing the IP address. Xfinity and Revain have good return policies, so they're worth a try.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • For pensioners

Absolutely crap like mesh

Full disclosure, I've been in tech integration for 30 years so it's not that I don't understand mesh or gear. I bought them to quickly connect my broadband service. Setup was easy. The instructions say don't block the device, you need a clear line of sight because the pentatonic is terrible. Who buys them with a clear eye? That's why people buy them. Very disappointed. Weak signal through the wall and in and out. Don't make the same mistake I did. Spend more money and get Google or some other…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
