I ordered a freewheel cassette for a wheel with a clutch.

I ordered the wrong part. I didn't even think that an 11-speed freehub would be built. 10 at 10-42 should have been a clue. I don't know of any freewheel cassettes that are less than 11X. I didn't see anything in the description that was dubious. I opened the box, saw it didn't work on my freewheel and sent it back. The only thing it cost me was the delay in getting a working cartridge and the 3 mile round trip to the UPS store. I bought an 11-36 freewheel cassette which arrived yesterday. I…

Buyer Warning. in Parts & Components

After several weeks of trying to index this, I realized that the problem is in the cassette itself, which vibrates. It happens. Everything that is produced is simply made and therefore not always perfect. The problem is that I bought it online. What should I do about it now? My returns window closed a month ago. The seller is under no obligation to do anything about it. SRAM won't do anything. I may have "saved" a few dollars, but now I have to spend 120% more to get something useful. I'm sure…

Save your money and buy this cassette, I switched from an XX1 cassette to this on my Epic and although it hurts a bit, a "downgrade" and attaching heavier components to my bike - - The weight difference when riding is not noticeable at all. I definitely notice smooth shifting and a quiet drivetrain, although adding more than 120 grams to tires or rims is very noticeable (i.e. a 50-60g difference between Rocket Liteskin and Snakeskin is slightly noticeable when accelerating on the pavement), but

  • Doubtful purchase for seniors

This is the "budget" 1X cassette in the SRAM line. Replaced my (1199) XX1 used by a friend very cheaply, no complaints yet. It's a bit "chunkier" than the XX1 and heavier, but it works and that's the point! A little advice given to me by someone more motivated to find the difference in weight when spinning this cartridge compared to the "bit" XX1 lighter. He said the weight difference between the 1150 and 1199 would feel like a 4g increase in tire weight in terms of rotational weight and…
