XLC Trunk Cargo Black Hardshell Review

I take the train to work every day and I love having a lockable boot on my bike. It is easy. I wish there was padding on the inside to reduce noise when carrying items. The locking mechanism isn't the best, but for the price it works. I don't trust him to keep anything valuable inside unattended.

I got it last year and have been using it for quite some time so I really like it. Mounted on my rear bike carrier, it protects my equipment and documents from bad weather or wind. The lock is good for when I'm running errands and carrying my cameras. He also attracted attention while riding, since he is the only one here. The local bike shops have never heard of it, too bad. I definitely recommend this item!

We bought two of these for our new bikes and the first time one of the bikes fell in the wind the locking side of the mechanism on the trunk broke off and it wouldn't unlock ! It seems to me that the most powerful part of the box should be the LOCK! Needless to say it will require some modification/cost to make it usable again. If only we knew then what we know now. We wouldn't order these! They are not very durable for the price we paid!
