Xodus Innovations WP580 Battery Decorative Review

When I found them in winter 2018 I bought 9 different colors and shapes! I love decorating for Christmas. I hang them on our trees in the yard! I like that they turn on in the dark and turn off at 2am. Batteries last from November to January. I plan on buying more every year because I love them so much! It was a replacement for a damaged item.

Good size, lasted over 4 weeks and is still going. Soft outer shell so don't worry if they fall off. They have a soft, warm glow in terms of light output. Don't expect them to be bright, they aren't. But from them comes a pleasant warm glow. Really good buy and good quality. Runs on batteries. 3 batteries per bulb and will not need to be changed during the holiday season if left on for 3/4 weeks.

These red lights are really great day and night. Batteries last well beyond Advent/Christmas. To hang them I place the batteries on top and tie a slipknot around the top of the branch and then secure the base. The color is embedded in the plastic to keep them from fading. When storing, I take out the batteries and keep the lights in a Revain box in a single layer - they will crush if anything heavy is placed on top of them.

I love these lights. I'm not sure if they are well made or will last long. One of them didn't come. I started the return. I then removed the cover to see if I could see the problem. The solder weld was broken leaving one of the wires unconnected. First, even resoldering didn't work; tried again and it works. Hooray! My wife and I bought 10 of these and so far 4 have arrived damaged. 3 globes arrived in envelopes and were crumpled and today I received a 15" globe in a 5.5" tall box. The result can be seen in the attached pictures. Xodus - You have a great product. If Revain charges you for shipping defective items to customers, then you're screwed. The packaging was terrible. They are too fragile to ship in envelopes or boxes without adequate space and bubble wrap.

Whilst the decoration itself is very pretty and goes with the picture it just doesn't work as advertised. I was ready for low light (as many reviewers warned) but not ready for NO light. I bought six pieces in total - two green tops and four round red pieces. All six were tested straight out of the box and initially glowed. I wanted to add color to our outdoor lighting along the eaves. We have icicle lights and I thought these lights would hang nicely between the strands. However, the icicle lights emit too much light for the orbs to function as intended. Some of them activate and glow as expected, but they're too thin compared to the bright icicles, especially since our house is far from the road.
