Not for 33 " inseam - my new review

This was originally 2 stars and I only mentioned the reflectors being different from the assembly video. Crosslinks reached out to try to solve the problem, so I thought I should add the rest of the experience.I bought this bike based on a recommendation that it was for people up to 6ft. I'm 5'11.5" (never hit 6) so I knew it'd be on the edge of usable, but the price was easier to handle than the other options i saw at the time. It definitely wins on the folding side. Carrying/moving a bike up…

Pros
  • The Xspec 26" 21 Speed Folding Mountain Bike is incredibly versatile, making it perfect for a wide range of activities, including trail riding, commuting, and adult biking
Cons
  • Limited storage while commuting

Great Bike for the money

I purchased 2, white for my wife and black for myself. After carefully reviewing all the reviews on Best Buy, I was little hesitant before purchasing this bike as I never assembled bike myself before. However, it was really easy to assemble, and the only problem I had was calibrating the break, not to make noise as well as stop instantly. It took longer to calibrate but other than that, it was smooth and easy.As other stated, I also had few spokes bent on both bikes but not a big deal. Great…

Pros
  • The Xspec 26" 21 Speed Folding Mountain Bike is incredibly easy to set up and assemble, even for those with little to no experience with bike maintenance
Cons
  • Limited terrain adaptability

Nice Bike. Missing ball bearing ring sent in 1 day

Arrived in great shape well packed with no scratches, bends or broken parts. Was not as hard to assemble front fork as I anticipated from the reviews. Any low cost Harbor Freight toolset has what you need to assemble. I did review YouTube 1st and that certainly helped. I was missing 1 of the 2 ball bearing rings used above and below the fork in the frame. A phone call to support was immediately answered by a human being we sent me the missing part the next day. The rides great and shifting was…

Pros
  • Front & rear shock absorbers and High tensile steel folding frame that could withstand many tough terrain mountain trails or daily commutes.
Cons
  • May not fit some riders comfortably

INSTRUCTIONS ARE HORRIBLE!

Says "some assembly required" but the instructions are translated horribly and worse off, it's for a different set-up bike. If you are not mechanically inclined you are most likely going to have to pay to have the bike assembled. Instructions don't show how to put on the mudguards, the instructions are for different handle bars and different brake set-up, not for the disk brakes up front. Otherwise the bike seems sturdy. I do like that the pedals fold up, don't like that the handlebar is fixed.

Pros
  • The folding design makes this bike incredibly portable, allowing you to take it virtually anywhere you want to go
Cons
  • Might not perform well on wet or slippery surfaces

Decent Bike for my opinion

I really enjoy this bike and how compact it is when folded up. It fits in the trunk of my 2011 sonata perfectly and in the back seat with no issues. Only thing I would have to say negatively about this product is that the middle of the bikes sturdiness when pushing off or bikeing trails can be a bit weak hitting the ground occasionally. I replaced the derailer with a metal one in the back as suggested by another buyer and it was definitely the right move. I would suggest replace the seat if you

Pros
  • The bike's sleek and stylish design is sure to turn heads wherever you go, making it an attractive choice for fashion-conscious riders
Cons
  • Folding process may be complicated for some

Good, not great, good.

This bike is a good bike for the price point, it handles well, assembles fairly easily, but there are certain design decisions I find a bit puzzling. For starters, the support for the rear mud flap was misaligned, meaning the mud flaps hangs off to the side from my bike, notably not flapping mud. The chain guide was made of plastic, which broke within two weeks of getting the bike. Replacing it with a metal one should be one of your first things you do after getting this bike. That said: I don't

Pros
  • The bike's quick-release wheels make it easy to change out tires or perform basic maintenance on the go
Cons
  • May not be suitable for riders with physical limitations

If you weigh more than 200lbs, I don't think this bike is for you. It's a very nice bike by the way, but I had to change it. I'm thinking on trading it somewhere else, It will take be so much headache for me to go have the bike store to take it apart. In overall, I lost so much money from this purchase.

Pros
  • The bike's disc brakes ensure reliable stopping power, allowing you to ride with confidence on even the steepest descents
Cons
  • Folding mechanism may wear out over time

Love This Bike. Amazing Deal. Top Quality. Smooth Ride.

I really love this bike. Nice quality at a good price. I was somewhat skeptical, since I hadn't heard of the company before, but the price was right and reviews seemed promising. I'm really glad I gave it a chance, the bike has been great. I got the white one for better visibility, and added 3rd party fenders and some attachments for the lights and bell. It's a really nice kit.Assembly was mostly straight-forward. The instructions were a little confusing, but the seller sent a YouTube video…

Pros
  • The bike's compact and foldable design makes it ideal for those living in apartments or small homes with limited storage space
Cons
  • May not handle heavy loads or cargo

Instructions useless, video only slightly better

After 3 hours we got it together, there are extra parts and parts that the video shows being used that aren't included and I don't mean tools. The block of plastic for the fender and reflectors are not included. Looks like a manufacturer change. There is no inventory sheet identifying parts and the person in the video doesn't get specific about screw or bolt descriptions. Also the video angles aren't helpful, zooming in on parts would have been helpful. Honestly you could just listen without…

Pros
  • The included front and rear suspension provide a smooth and comfortable ride, even on bumpy terrain
Cons
  • May not handle high speeds well

Had A Few Frustrations, But Great Overall

I really love this bike. I wanted a folding Mountain Bike than could fit in the trunk of my sedan without having to carry a bulky and ugly bike rack on the back of my care and this has been perfect for the job. When I meetup with friends and get my bike out, they are stunned that a folding bike can look so good. However, despite my overall love for the bike, there are some issues/frustrations with the bike:- The bike is a little challenging to figure out how to put together. As many other…

Pros
  • The bike's adjustable seat and handlebars ensure a comfortable and ergonomic riding experience, no matter your height or body type
Cons
  • No kickstand included

Unnecessary on my review.

The bike seems simple to assemble, but the tuning takes a lifetime. The front gear shifter was not aligned and was impossible to fix, the disk Breaks 12 and so they would constantly make a noise, a part of the bike was also broken. When I tried to return it the seller gave me the label but told me I had to pay for the return which would cost me almost $100. You rather buy a bike from a store and get it tuned than order one online

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • Not designed for extreme mountain biking

This bike will be returned

I was really excited when the bicycle arrived and was even more excited because half of the bicycle was already put together. I followed all the instructions and even watched videos to make sure I was doing it correctly. The first time I took it out the front wheels made a 90 degree turn almost throwing me from the bike. I fixed the problem but noticed each time I took it for a test ride the screws were getting loose on the brakes. The gears were an even bigger problem, switching gears is not…

Pros
  • Sports
Cons
  • Requires assembly

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Cannot recommend in my review

Assembly is a mess from the start due to the numeours pieces of polystyrene packaging that stick to everything. The instructions are vague, and some parts, like the fenders, have no instructions at all. It isn't hard to assemble, but it does require ample time to figure each part out. There is a YouTube video that provides limited help. Adjusting the brakes can become an annoyance. The handle bar does not fold, and the hand grips are hard and rough, making it painful after 1+ hour of riding. The

Pros
  • The 26" wheels are the perfect size for both quick acceleration and fast rolling, ensuring an enjoyable and efficient ride
Cons
  • Handlebar grips may easily wear out

Good for the money, dependent on your specific utility

The bike rides pretty well and serves its purpose. Yes the chain jumps gears sometimes, but just shift to the next gear and it'll catch. For the price, I was expecting this. I only used it for short trips from the overflow lot at campus to my classes. Downhill this thing is fast and fun, uphill is a workout. The Chinese rubber tires on this smell absolutely terrible and I can still smell them now when I walk into my garage (it's been about 3 months now). If this was going inside of your home…

Pros
  • The bike's compact size and portability make it an ideal choice for those who need to transport their bike via car, bus, or train
Cons
  • Handlebar height may be too low for some riders

Love this bike. Money is worth it if.(read my comment)

Money is worth it if you don't have any issues with any of my comments below. Before I bought this bike I read all the reviews, questions and descriptions about this item. I really like the design plus the folding as a mountain bike. I confirmed all the details about it.1. It weighs around 30 lbs, it is a mountain bike so the bike justifies its weight. It is heavy for rough road plus the shocks. I would not recommend it for commuting like riding in trains or climbing stairs even it is folding. I

Pros
  • The bike's responsive and precise handling allows you to navigate tight turns and technical terrain with ease
Cons
  • Limited compatibility with accessories or bike modifications
