Augment your drill performance with this extension

This industrial-grade auger extension has exceeded our expectations in terms of its robust design and brilliant performance. Based on our own experience, it is a great accessory for improving the reach of our drill, thereby making the task of digging deeper and wider an effortless one. The extension is easy to attach and detach, speeding up our work process. The only downside is its relatively high price. However, the quality of the product justifies its cost. Overall, we recommend this…

Pros
  • Easy to install and use.
Cons
  • Not compatible with all types of augers, so make sure to check compatibility before purchasing.

Welded askew, excess paint makes the joints airtight.

The packaging is light, the bubble wrap came off the two extensions and they looked rather shabby. But the weld ends on two of the three extensions turned out to be crooked. So when you add an extension to a drill press, you are drilling with a curved drive. Also, the paint on the male end extensions was very thick, making it difficult to attach (a bit of sandpaper and wiggling helped). The pins to hold them also seem to be of very poor quality and look like they fall easily into the hole.

Pros
  • cast construction; Output shafts to heavy gauge tubing to increase strength and reduce weight
Cons
  • Not sure

An almost essential accessory for serious post hole digging.

These extensions make it very easy to dig a suitable hole for a standard 8ft rack. A power head with a standard auger allows you to go down about 28 to 30 inches depending on how close you position the power head to the ground. As stated in the Xtremepower Single Bit Guide, it is best to use a standard bit to drill the hole, then add the necessary extension to dig the hole to full depth and make a second pass. Tip: use the SHORTEST extension that gets the job done. At first I used a 12"…

Pros
  • Extension fits between drive head and auger
Cons
  • Doubtful
