Does what it's supposed to do

My gas welder is 40 years old and the acetylene regulator is leaking. Spare parts are not available due to age, so I bought this controller to complete some projects. It installed quickly and worked just as well as the original controller, so I'm very happy with it. The brass construction is quite good and I believe it will hold up well over time with normal care and maintenance.

Fantastic replacement

My husband needed new hoses for his torch so I decided to buy him a new regulator. They were great value and he said they were perfect. You don't have to spend a lot of money for the same end result. Highly recommended.

Even with Prime it took over a month because of the blood flu and it was a win!

I replaced the old Throneite controller with a pinhole. Didn't worry about the end of the hose because it had a barbed end of the hose. It runs from 1 to 14psi, is very smooth and sensitive, and did a lot of work with no issues. The regulator is used with the presto-lite air/fuel burner kit.

Concerned about the acetylene leak in the new regulator. Little experience with oxygen/acetylene.

Just got my new acetylene regulator. It looks like it is very well built. Mounted on tank and hoses. When I opened the fuel tank tap, I felt a leak. I removed the regulator and reinstalled it on the tank and hose fittings using yellow teflon tape. It also smelled of acetylene. I did a soapy water test on all the connection points and the regulator. There are no bubbles anywhere. Should I remove the pressure adjustment knob and pour soapy water down this hole?
