Disappointing Performance from Yamaha Amplifier

This amplifier failed to deliver the sound quality I was expecting. As my tests showed, the subwoofer was not invisible as advertised, and the bass was weak. On the plus side, the setup was straightforward and the design is sleek. However, for the price, I expected better from Yamaha Electronics. Pros
  • Clear and powerful surround sound that immerses you in the action.
Cons
  • Requires a larger space to accommodate the invisible subwoofer.

I've sat in every seat in my living room and although the unit says it's broadcasting in surround sound, all the audio sounds like it's coming from the front of the room, like regular TV speakers. Before I…

Self assembled in 30 minutes. The instructions recommend 2 people for some stages. Here's the important part. How it works! I bought this unit to replace a Sony 5.1 Bluray/Surround system as I have a relatively small living room and 5 speakers and a subwoofer dominate the room. . Also due to the wooden floors, the…
