SWEET SOUND on Home Audio

I like these speakers. I was worried about how they would sound but with them and a good subwoofer they sound AMAZING. They're not bright white, so they might stand out a bit against your ceiling like mine does, but they can be painted.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Doesn't go with everything

Great 3-way speakers at a good price.

I bought four of these to use as Dolby Atmos ceiling speakers in my upgraded 11.2 surround system. These are very good speakers and probably overkill for this application. But at a great price I didn't feel the need to buy lower quality gear, I've been using Yamaha audio gear for years with no problems and wanted to stick with a known brand. You sound GREAT!

These speakers are the best!

Clean, pristine sound! Hence the dual tweeters. Great for loud music or movies! I have 5.1 surround sound. 400w Klipsch speakers. Robust, no distortion, pure bass performance and speakers with incredible clarity! Never turned them on at full power, too strong! I'm thinking of adding a 10" 240w Klipsch woofer. The walls are already shaking! Close your eyes and feel like you are at a live concert! That hurts!

Pros
  • Not just useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Operating speed

Overall they did a great job but seemed to be struggling at a low level.

I used this for the back of a small 5.1 cinema set up in my basement. Overall they did a great job but they seemed to have issues with bass and volume. They're quite large, so make sure you're looking at the dimensions of the whole device and not the speaker itself. The speaker's build and quality seems very good for the price. Of all the other speakers in this price range, this is by far the best value for money.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

good quality for the price

These are pretty good surround speakers, they produce decent sound. Build quality is really good, heavier than expected and covered at the back. Installation is easy, I already installed the speaker wires so all I had to do was cut holes and install. I wish there was a little more volume and clarity but for the price I'm quite happy with them so far, they definitely help with movies. I will use them for at least a year and decide if I want to replace them with more expensive ones. Always weighโ€ฆ

Yamaha Ceiling Speakers

These speakers are AMAZING! When operating at enough power, these speakers have in-ceiling mount recording tone. They have enough bass to produce a fairly even sound across all frequencies. You can't get your super boomy bass, that's what a subwoofer is for. However, if you know this and approach it with full understanding, these speakers are probably the best paying solution. They sound better than other companies I've tried. You can always pair them with a subwoofer if you want and you've got

Quality speakers for general listening

These are excellent speakers for general listening, such as e.g. B. Home audio and surround sound. Amazingly clear, clear sounds. Almost 2 years later - These are still my favorite speakers, I listen to them in the whole house music settings almost every other day. The sound is very rich without a subwoofer, clear and with a decent bass. I ended up replacing them with 8-inch speakers, Yamaha's next step in in-ceiling speaker development, and placing them elsewhere. I noticed that the 6.5 inchโ€ฆ

Powerful sound from these little gems

Just installed this in my new kitchen. When I first received it I was a bit shocked at the size. I ordered 4 speakers (2 boxes of 2) but realized 4 would be too much for our small kitchen/dining room. They were easy to install. I followed the 9 7/16" template that was in the box , and cut a hole in the ceiling. I tinned (soldered) the speaker wire leads since they are attached to spring-loaded clips. Also, according to the manual, I put glass wool in the cavity around the speaker since it wasโ€ฆ

OMG I love the sound!

Installed these in my house above the common room in a 5.1 system. I bought 3 pairs, put the 6th speaker in the kitchen as an aux and powered by a switch. I wanted branded 3-way speakers that are affordable. I have a third zone in my living room and I bought 6.5 inch 2 way Monoprice speakers and they sound good, not as good as these and the Monoprice speaker components were capped unlike the Yamaha, Caps and clear plastic covers on the speakers exposed. Very solid and high-quality workmanshipโ€ฆ

Great speakers for your budget!

Perfect for my economical yet amazing sounding home theater! My wife asked us to upgrade our home theater (cool right?) to keep cables out of reach of our unborn child. By moving all of our speakers to the ceiling, you eliminated one thing that could get displaced, disconnected, or damaged, so I went to town to research the best options for this upgrade. After some searching, Yamaha seemed like a combination of quality and price, so I went that route. I was in no way disappointed. One of theโ€ฆ
