Description of Enhance Your Aquarium's Water Flow with YCTECH Aquarium Fish Tank Circulation Pump Wave Maker Power Head (6W 8W)

Why need a wavemake pump? To avoid the fish tank's lifelessness. Yochaqute wave pump can simulate the natural ecological environment. It creates a gentle flow of water to increase the vitality of the fish. Wavemakers help to circulate the water in your aquarium. It can increase dissolved oxygen in the water. In addition, this pump can be used to clean the residue. Powerful & Ultra quiet: 8W, 1600GPH aquarium wavemaker is higher flow rates and lower energy consumption. With a high-performance motor and 4 shock-absorbing feet, it gives you a silent environment while providing enough power to keep the water circulating quickly. Very suitable for freshwater or saltwater aquarium. 360°+270°Free rotation: The fish tank wavemaker can freely adjust the wave direction: 360° horizontal + 270° vertical adjustment. Compared with traditional wave pumps, our wave pumps are more flexible. No dead corner, anti-reverse, protect the motor from damage. Environmental protection materials avoid pollution to the living environment. Small and exquisite, not easy to damage. Strong magnetic suction cups: The aquarium circulation pump is equipped with a strong magnetic bracket, the strong magnet can fix the surf pump firmly anywhere in the fish tank (thickness less than 15mm). The stable magnetic base reduces noise when running and prevents the pump from falling off. Easy to use; Remove the magnet at the bottom of the wave pump, hold the pump with one hand, place it on the glass inside the water tank, and then gently slide the magnet into position with the other hand. Please refer to the installation method in the figure. The push-pull switch can adjust the water flow speed. Note: the aquarium powerhead must be 100% submerged into the water.

Not for 20 gallon

I read some reviews from people with 20 gallon tanks so decided to give it a try. This thing blew so hard it uprooted most of the plants in my tank. 2 inches of substrate wasn't enough to hold my plants in place. Artificial plants with weighted bases may stand a better chance. Otherwise, I really don't recommend this for someone with a small aquarium.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Good but with one downside Suitable for aquarium pumps and filters

This shaft generator is great. It's quiet and has plenty of flow for my 75g. I use two, one on top and one on the bottom for full circulation. The downside is that the cable is too short. If you have outlets at the same level as your aquarium you should be fine, but if you have outlets at the bottom of your stand you will need an extension cord. I'm deducting 1 star for this inconvenience.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Low maintenance

Works well with one small issue

I was given this to replace a part I had that could no longer be wall mounted. Almost everything is great except for one small problem. The cable is quite short. So much so that he couldn't reach an outlet, let alone a drip loop. I had to use an extension cord for that. The magnetic base is much better compared to the suction cup. I don't think I'll ever use a suction cup again.

Do not buy! in aquarium pumps and filters

So, for starters, when I plugged it in it was damn loud. The blades hit the walls of the pump. Then, after a bit of fiddling, I made sure the noise stopped, but the two pumps didn't pump. They sucked, after messing with them a few times I was finally able to get the blades to spin in the right direction. It looks like they're running both ways, which they shouldn't be. Worst aquarium product I have ever received!

Not 1500 GPH.: Aquarium Pumps & Filters

I don't get it, my filter moves at 525 GPH so at 1500 GPH it has to work 3x as much? However, it feels and looks like it's barely going to hit 150 gallons per hour. I even tried different page settings. My pump produces more water flow than this. I think the dates advertised on the site are not very accurate. 4.5 watts per propeller won't give you 1500 gallons per hour. I've been an engineer for 30 years now, the numbers don't lie and the advertisers do.

Pros
  • Stylish and Modern Design
Cons
  • Cleanliness

Poor quality, killed my aquarium life

This product has been in my aquarium for 3 weeks. I left for 2 days, I'll be back, most of my life died. The rubber part of the cable in the water is kind of frayed. A crack in the rubber allowed a small amount of water to seep into the cord to the outlet! Short circuit in the aquarium. It was a great loss for me. I'm very disappointed and wouldn't trade anything else. Do not buy this product. See photos.

Broken in less than a day

Currently returning it because it stopped working in less than a day. I don't want to mess around with a replacement because I don't trust him now. The magnet mount sticks firmly to the glass, nothing to fault about that, but the pump sits loosely in the fork mount and moves too easily. Not loud, but not very quiet either, I think part of the noise is due to the loose fork mount. I also don't like the yellow impeller that catches your eye when you look at the pump. He moved large amounts of…
