Correct. What I wanted to say. The original detector mount was flimsy and allowed me to properly position the detector on my Chevy van. I originally planned to remove the suction cup every night to preserve its lifespan as long as possible, but it's like installing it and forgetting about this type of product. That plan fell through as the suction is so good I don't even realize it's there and never seem to forget to turn it off when parked overnight.

The part fell apart! I used this mount for my new radar detector and it worked great initially. I took it off to clean the windshield and when I tried to put it back on the little lip/lever that increases the suction fell apart. The plastic ribs on the tongue aren't strong enough to withstand the push or pull that comes with increasing suction. Now this thing is useless because it won't stay on the windshield. Money wasted and return or replacement expired because I waited too long to use it…

Holds perfectly and does not wobble thanks to the bracket that comes with the radar detector. My only issues with it are: 1) I would have preferred the radar detector to be closer to the windshield (but that's negligible), and 2) there's a nut welded to the bracket and the plastic wheel with the nut, to assemble everything.
