Very strange smell, extremely unpleasant.

I actually made candles with two different waxes in the same batch for direct comparison. This wax melted at a lower temperature than the local beeswax I had and had a VERY bad smell, pungent like burnt orange peel. The smell dissipated a bit during the melting process but was very noticeable from the moment I opened the package. I am hypersensitive to allergens and the smell gave me a headache. I have been influenced by the many positive reviews for this product but I will not be buying from…

First use of beeswax is good but I don't like the smell

No regrets but will not buy again just because I don't like the smell. I tried using EO but maybe I didn't use it often because. the wax smell dominated the EO. According to a video I watched on YouTube, the wax needs to be at a certain temperature to turn into EO and that may have been the problem. This wax melts quickly and can burn quickly, so you need to keep an eye on it. And the smell of smoke, burning plastic. I don't know how beeswax is supposed to smell. I'm not a fan of smells at all…

Questionable Purity

In all the years that I have worked with beeswax I have never had such a terrible smell of smoke. This is the first time I have taken the risk of ordering from an unknown supplier. Never again. It also doesn't look like 100% beeswax. Pure beeswax has a rich, sweet fragrance, a slightly sticky texture and coats the skin when rubbed between your fingers.
