11 months update: Today the grill brush broke, it seems the metal doesn't protrude more than an inch into the plastic handle. The heat and downward pressure will eventually cause the plastic to break down. The brush itself continued to work well, but the plastic cracked. So 11 months of use, about 1 use every two weeks, totals about 24 uses, and we can round up to 30. So I was hoping it would take a little longer.
