Faulty Hardware

Used to color foils. It worked for a couple of weeks then stopped heating quite a bit. The auto shut off was a trifle. Waited a long time for a return (30) days. Put me out of business until I could buy another company's gear. I don't recommend anyone to buy this.

Take your soldering to the next level

After years of using classic 25-35W small soldering irons, I finally decided to try this model. I like how quickly it reaches the set operating temperature. And I really like the auto shut off feature in case I forget to turn it off. The attachments on my old irons always seem to go bad after a few months of use, but this one seems to last much longer - I don't know why, but it does. maybe because the temperature is better controlled and the iron doesn't overheat. Must be soldered, right? It works less and less well the more you use it. Looking good, you turn the knob and press the knobs and the digital display shows the temperature rising accordingly. What it does NOT do is get hot enough to melt the solder. I'm talking RC solder for soldering small connectors and motors onto small stranded copper like 26 ga. I don't know if I just got dirty, but I'm not a happy customer. I think the equivalent of 75 watts will easily do it. I was hoping I could make…
