Very cheap locking mechanism. Doesn't see a very strong locking point. My buddy has a rhino frame and all the parts that are plastic in my frame are metal in his. and the bar is strong, but the locking mechanism is totally unreliable. Cheap design. Spend more money and get better quality. I'll get mine back if I still can

The stand has no latch to prevent opening. My luggage racks opened twice while driving, luckily I didn't have anything with me. I made sure to keep them closed but thought it would be dangerous so instead of going through a learning curve to keep them closed I returned the product. These weren't my first ski racks, of course, and that had never happened before.

Plastic caps and pure China junk. A latch will not engage unless you push the top lever very hard. After finally managing to plug it in, I tried opening it again and the insides of the latch came loose. I tried putting it back together but figured if it happened the first time it would happen again. So I sent it back and will buy this from Thule. I knew better than to buy that foreign shit, but I did it anyway.
