I bought a router because I was tired of cutting dados with a circular saw. I needed beats so I decided to try these. First bits I ever used so I have no comparison but they cut through plywood with no problem (I made sure to cut in two passes) and were the perfect width. Yonico plywood cutter set was disappointing. Right out of the box, a 23/32" (for 3/4" plywood) bit burned cleanly and smoothly through a piece of birch plywood to a depth of only 3/16" and looked like the tree had been ripped out . If you're a hobbyist, have a one-off project and don't plan on using these bits regularly, then they're fine if you don't mind the manual work of post-routing cleanup.
