Bought for a cabinet project using three common sizes of birch plywood. Fits like a glove! Dado for 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 plywood that are so strong I don't need any fasteners or glue. The floors can be knocked out of the groove with a hammer and then reinserted by hand. Ideal. Used in solid birch pages, the cuts were flawless too. Grinding is not required. Simply make each cut 1/8 inch deep and work your way down to actual depth as if using a cutter. Excellent quality. I have cutters from Freud…

Good work! in Router Parts & Accessories

I bought a router because I was tired of cutting dados with a circular saw. I needed beats so I decided to try these. First bits I ever used so I have no comparison but they cut through plywood with no problem (I made sure to cut in two passes) and were the perfect width. We'll see if I like them as much in a year, but I suspect they'll suit me quite well for a hobby carpenter. Attention: The end of the bit is very tight against the plastic housing. Jonico vs Freud: KO first round

Yonico plywood cutter set was disappointing. Right out of the box, a 23/32" (for 3/4" plywood) bit burned cleanly and smoothly through a piece of birch plywood to a depth of only 3/16" and looked like the tree had been ripped out . If you're a hobbyist, have a one-off project and don't plan on using these bits regularly, then they're fine if you don't mind the manual work of post-routing cleanup.
