is MUCH better than the foam that came with my air conditioner. I'm so glad I bought. Note that it's non-adhesive (I missed that) so there's no "stickiness" on the back of this tape, but it's so thick and sticks well that I don't think it's really needed.

This insulating foam is great and does the job. I recently purchased a Midea U-shaped window air conditioner and the insulating foam that came with it was not the best quality. Plus, there's no harm in having extra foam on hand. It's thicker and appears to be of better quality.

Very soft and open-celled. It has no structure at all. It has a strange texture, almost sticky. This worked for my application but I don't think it will hold up well in the long run as it's easy to break. There is no resistance when squeezing between the fingers and nothing is compressed. I don't see any UV exposure either. I like its size, but that's about all I can say positively.

I recently moved house and needed to fit a window air conditioner that fitted to the 'edge' leaving a large gap underneath. I was nervous because I'm NOT good at stuff like this, but I searched YouTube and decided to try this isolation. It was very easy and flexible. I cut it, put it in the slot and sealed it with weatherproof clear tape. Looks amazing, you can't even tell I used insulation unless you're standing really close. My apartment stays nice and cool now. Highly recommended.

I'm a bit reluctant to give this three stars as one of these issues may be specific to my setup, but my windows are old fashioned with six small panes and I couldn't fit between upper and lower flap. Unlike traditional foam, which is soft, resilient and ignores obstacles, it is not compressible at all. It also smells very unpleasant of rubber. It's hard to describe the feel of this product, but it's soft and smooth and feels much more comfortable than most foams. One of the 4 ribs is smoother than the others. This is most likely where the tape would be placed if the product were one of the foams sold with self-peel tape, which is not the case.
