I think the sizes are too small?

Looks like a good glove but it seems to me that the size is too small. The first pair I got were the Large I usually buy and they were definitely too small. Gave them to my wife. I ordered another pair in Extra Large and they fit better although I think I probably could have gone for XX-Large. There is no information yet on durability or water resistance. I only give 3 stars because of the size.

2 star max, definitely NOT military grade or waterproof

I received this glove today and to confirm other reviews it is about 2 sizes smaller than regular gloves sold in the US. M but larger than these gloves - LI almost got into glove production so I visited a few factories in China beforehand. I know these gloves are definitely NOT military grade. The leatherette grip on the palm is of very poor quality. small, Velcro cuff is not strong and easy to lose. The glove is actually not certified for winter as it is not warm in any way. I had a pair of…

Perfect for men

Snug, flexible and functional, these Youngstown Glove gloves have the perfect fit. They are comfortable, waterproof, windproof, warm and (so far) seem to be very well thought out and finished (although I have the slightest doubt about the durability of the rubberized velcro straps - but so far so good!) as most in the world knows (due to our collective, incessant whining), the Northeast winter has been particularly bad this season, and here are the gloves I've used. While I would highly…

Not terrible, but not great either.

The build quality is really good, which I like. But as others have said, they make your hands sweat very quickly, making them colder. I haven't tested the waterproofing yet, but I suspect the plastic layer or something makes your hands sweaty. The worst thing about the glove is that the inner liner isn't sewn to the outer shell so it's a real pain to put on and take off, especially when my hands are sweaty.

Great gloves! But. good for cold weather Gloves

So I ordered gloves because I work in a cold store. You are perfect. Waterproof. Keeps hands warm. I would give 5 stars but I didn't like a few things. First. I work in a fast-paced environment. Obviously your hands start to sweat after a while. These gloves keep warm but when I take my gloves off for a break/lunch. I have a hard time putting them back on because the inner lining is soaked with sweat. 2. Related to the first question. I figured it out after constant use. There is an unpleasant…

Improved - except for this year's products. Show comments.

I always find it difficult to find the right gloves. They fit better than almost anything I've ever owned, comparable to flight gloves or even better. They are warm, wind and waterproof, at least for short-term diving. They are also non-slip: you have a secure grip on almost everything, even when it is wet. I like them so much that I will buy two more pairs. I wish Youngstown would make them really small for women. My wife has tiny hands and she could really use a pair of these! UPDATE…

Acceptable but not ready for really cold/horrible conditions

I bought these because I really hate cold hands and fingers. I can be a little picky about this. I wear them in 20-30 degree winds and I don't see them holding up to cooler temperatures when I'm doing something sporty. Throw in some activity and they'll probably be fine in cooler temperatures but for standing around. I think it will bring me into my comfort zone. Of course I can be pickier than some. The gauntlets have decent dexterity for a heavy type, but don't work well with fine movements…

Good work glove above 30 degrees (not below)

I bought these gloves thinking they would help keep my hands warm when working in the fridge/freezer . Boy was I disappointed. These gloves are good when you work in temperatures above 30 degrees. My fingers won't last 5 minutes in the freezer even with a glove liner. According to the description, they are waterproof. That is partially correct. they don't let water through, but as soon as the glove gets a little wet, the fingers freeze even faster. I recommend buying another pair of gloves if…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time

  • Cord is shorter than others

No winter gloves for anything below 40 degrees!

fits - they fit snug - company suggests you measure your hand and size accordingly - I bought XXL based on my measurement 10.5 and it's tight gloves - ok so it's not that bad as narrow can help dexterity but restricts blood flow. Winter glove - no, it's not! At 10-20 degrees, these gloves do not insulate well and you can tell. In a blizzard, your hands get cold. I have cold-hardened hands - I don't usually wear gloves below 20 degrees and work with cold materials, snow, wood, etc. If they were…
