Description of Revolutionary Youyeetoo EAI YDLIDAR T15: Unleashing Advanced 360-Degree TOF Laser Range Lidar Sensor for Outdoor Robot Navigation & Obstacle Avoidance within 15 Meters Radius

Product Overview

The Youyeetoo EAI YDLIDAR T15 is an advanced 360-degree TOF Laser Range Lidar Sensor designed specifically for outdoor robots. Leveraging the cutting-edge TOF (Time of Flight) ranging technology, this sensor accurately measures the distance of objects based on the time difference between emitting and receiving pulse laser signals. What sets it apart is its exceptional ranging accuracy that remains consistent regardless of the distance, making it highly precise for detecting objects even in further distances.

Key Characteristics

One of the standout features of the Youyeetoo EAI YDLIDAR T15 is its TOF Ranging Technology, which ensures precise and reliable distance measurements. Unlike traditional ranging methods, this sensor excels at detecting objects far away with the same level of accuracy as objects nearby. This characteristic is especially critical for outdoor robots navigating through complex environments, where obstacles can be at varying distances.

Solving Navigation Challenges

The Youyeetoo EAI YDLIDAR T15 addresses a significant challenge faced by outdoor robots – obstacle avoidance and navigation. By providing a 360-degree scanning radius and a 15-meter ranging distance, this Lidar Sensor equips robots with the ability to perceive their surroundings comprehensively. With its high precision and real-time data, robots can efficiently detect and avoid obstacles, ensuring safe and smooth navigation in various outdoor settings.

Wide Range of Applications

The applications of the Youyeetoo EAI YDLIDAR T15 are vast, making it a valuable tool in the field of robotics and automation. Some of the key areas where this Lidar Sensor can be utilized include:

  • Autonomous Delivery Robots for efficient package transportation.
  • Security Robots for patrolling and monitoring large outdoor areas.
  • Agricultural Robots for precision farming and automated crop management.
  • Mapping and Surveying Robots for creating detailed outdoor maps and 3D models.
  • With its compact design and ease of integration, the Youyeetoo EAI YDLIDAR T15 opens up a world of possibilities for developers, engineers, and enthusiasts in the robotics industry. Its accurate TOF ranging technology and extensive scanning radius make it an invaluable accessory for outdoor robots that require reliable obstacle detection and precise navigation capabilities.

[TOF Ranging Technology] Based on TOF(Time of Flight) principle, it is ranging distance by the time difference of emitting and receiving pulse laser. Its ranging accuracy does not change with distance, and is more precise for detecting objects in further distance. [Resistant to daylight could be used outdoor] T15 is based on TOF principle, which is highly resistant to strong daylight interference, could realize high frequency , high precision ranging and mapping indoor or outdoor. [30000Hz High frequency] T15 is based on single laser scanning design, could get 30000 samples per second.Combined with self-developed signal processing algorithm,it could fulfill the requirement of precise mapping , navigation and obstacle avoidance in outdoor. [35Hz scan frequency] Max 35Hz scan frequency, fast response ,high frequency, high repeatability, high consistency.Application for AGV Navigation 、 Robot Obstacle Avoidance 、 Screen Interaction 、 3D Reconstruction 、 Regional Security 、 Aided Localization

    works great with Jetson Nano

Well packaged, good documentation and ROS support, works great with Jetson Nano. A small annoyance - the battery drains quickly and the range is limited.

Not for 8-bit micro/Arduino and very slow

Two stars if you try to use this on an Arduino. With their library it barely works on Uno and I can't get it to work on Mega. I wrote my own software and it has so many communication errors and bad data that it's not worth trying to do robotic navigation: your robot sits idle for over 10 minutes trying to bridge the gap. rooms. plus that Yahoo solved the non-standard connection speed?! 125000 baud? Serious? Check out some videos on YouTube. If you are using a PC, the software works fine. It's…
