Easy to assemble and quick to install. I chose this set to be able to vary the width of the shelf, which was very nice. I chose my own boards/stains which is an added bonus of this set. I used a laser level and a rod finder to securely attach these shelves to the wall on a rack. I think drywall fixings would be tricky and wouldn't work as I have a lot of books.

This is a premium and high quality, high performance solution. Because these are threaded pipes, it can be difficult to screw everything in and line it up. I needed tight fittings, so I pressed the tubes to the bottom and used enough force to tighten them until they were even. Nothing is trimmed so specifically for high demands. This is a very strong set of galvanized tubing. I chose this set because not all of these sizes were available at Home Depot and I didn't want to deal with cutting and welding. Don't listen to anyone here. If you need instructions or "tools" to do this, don't do it yourself. Hire someone. Assembly took 7 minutes. This was a really fun shelving project that the handyman and I managed to complete in just a few hours. I have a vintage 1940's kitchen where space is a priority. I pre-ordered materials for the tube shelves and was initially disappointed that they didn't come with the shelves, but I was able to get a 12 x 20 board from a home store and cut it into 4 pieces. I'm very handy and this thing has to be the worst thing I've ever tried to install. It comes in parts. no big deal, right? Not correct! The pieces don't fit well together, so you have to use force (e.g. with tools) to flatten them out to fit the wall. Lining them up is a nightmare.
