Don't listen to anyone here. If you need instructions or "tools" to do this, don't do it yourself. Hire someone. Assembly took 7 minutes. Yes, it seems odd that they don't line up at first, but then just use the bar levers to tighten them so they all line up. This is the intended purpose and they are nice and cozy. They are powder coated matte black and much nicer than the tubes you buy in the big store. If you want cheaper Domhepot whistles then do this and you are not the intended target market for this product. If you want beautiful unique shelf brackets and they don't seem to be poor and can twist a little without much effort then they are perfect! Otherwise just hire someone else. And no, they don't come with shelves as stated in the 'fine print' of the name (buy some first lady glasses).
