They are beautiful, beautifully designed, but very hard and uncomfortable to use. I don't know if they need to be lubricated with oil or grease or if the screw holding them together is loose but difficult to turn. I actually ordered another pair as well to give as gifts, they look like a bird but they work so smoothly and are also very beautiful, I keep them to myself and if I can ever get them to work I will pass on as a gift.

I don't often buy scissors. When I do that, I expect them to do what scissors do: cut efficiently. I bought these particular scissors partly because I needed them for my sewing and craft projects and partly because I thought they looked really cute and pretty. When they arrived they were half out of the package due to several holes. So be careful. While the handles are cast veneer, the blades are very real and very sharp. They were well tightened.
