Hey it's an O-ring, not much to say about that but they fit well and keep the gear oil in the axle and not on the wheel and/or driveway. It's a good idea to have them on hand if you need to pull the waves for any reason. They only break if there is no replacement available.

I ordered two of these seals for a project I have. They arrived in plain zip-lock packaging with the product number hand-printed on the front. It's hard to tell if I have genuine Yukon seals or if they're from some sort of trash can held by a cheap Chinese brand. Can't complain about the price, so I'll use them.
