Description of πŸ“ Yupo Heavy White Synthetic Paper Pads - L21-YUP389WH1114, 11" x 14

Yupo paper is a unique alternative to traditional watercolor papers. It's an incredibly durable stain-resistant non-absorbent synthetic paper that holds ink and watercolor with razor sharp precision. This extraordinary surface also resists tearing and buckling and it remains perfectly flat. This package contains ten 11x14 inch sheets. Acid free. Made in USA.

I like plastic paper

I like plastic paper. Acrylic paint fits perfectly on the surface of Yupo. I can use as much water or liquid as I want. It never deforms.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Style 90

The pad was cut crooked

I love Yupo paper but they need to be checked for "slack" when made. The pad I got last time was NOT an 11x14 rectangular one...but an 11x14x10.5x14 polygon.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Embarrassing

Great interface! for drawing paper

Excellent surface for watercolor or oil painting. I just love the durable surface. Easy to erase or change the color. You can even erase watercolors and start over. With oil, I just always add a layer. And good price for quality and quantity.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Something is wrong

. Note that this is a very different technique than using regular watercolor paper, but you can get some really great results that you can't get with regular paper. This smooth plastic/paper will require you to experiment a few times.

Pros
  • . Ideal for a small home.
Cons
  • . Quality

Be sure to try YUPO!

This paper/plastic is very interesting - I've only tried it with alcohol inks, paint sprays and watercolor crystals - but it makes the colors so vibrant!

Pros
  • Acid free. Made in the USA.
Cons
  • Very expensive

but it is very interesting to experiment with paper

Yupo paper, interesting to say the least. It is very difficult to work with, but very fun to experiment with and very easy to remove paint from plastic. It makes my gouache very blendable so it's almost like oil painting which I like. However, like oil, the drying time is forever and the color will activate slightly even after drying. I would say if you are an oil painter and trying watercolor/gouache for the first time you might want to try this paper.

Pros
  • Yupo - a unique alternative to traditional watercolor paper
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model
