Worked great. I followed the advice of others and did it.

Works great. I took the advice of others and didn't use O-rings as I felt they would compress and loosen the hinges over time. I just used some silicone sealant on each rivet.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • -

Kayak Mounting Loops

I installed a new seat on my kayak and also needed these loops to attach the mounting brackets. They are installed with rivets, so if you don't have a rivet gun they won't fit you. So far they're working fine, but it's only been a few days. I think they will be ok.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Error

Not a standard size

Please note that the size of the rivets is not specified in the description, they are not a standard size. It's 13/64 inch and the cheapest riveting tools that a typical DIYer like me would have had don't come in that size. I had to order new rivets because the right size tools are quite expensive.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • There are nuances

A rivet gun is required for assembly

I really liked the product. I had to install a baby kayak seat. -1 for easy installation as you need a rivet gun to install (I didn't have one and didn't even know what it was). Given the cost of the tool was about $5 plus a trip to Harbor Freight (yellow handles), it doesn't matter.

Pros
  • Doping 🔥
Cons
  • Not fashionable

Well made and easy to install

Used them on a fishing kayak to add an anchor carriage and also a new seat. Well made and easy to install. There's nothing worse than drilling a hole in a kayak that's just floating. But with the ease of this action, it got a little easier to swallow! Will be ordering another kayak for my wife in the near future.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not bad

Easy to install in kayaks

Easy to install. Good rivets. First I practiced on a piece of plastic gutter and saw how strong and reliable they are. I recommend drilling the first hole, then inserting the first rivet, drilling the second hole, then inserting the second rivet. It's a good idea to practice drilling a hole in a piece of plastic first to make sure you're the right size for a tight fit.

Pros
  • Heavy duty
Cons
  • Generally good but...

Nice, but check for form errors.

Used to redirect bungee on my kayak. It uses the included rivets which are a nice added bonus and prevent damage from excessive clamping force. They're pretty sturdy and seem very strong, but I broke one, maybe while loading the yak onto the roof of a car. It was summer when it happened, so it wasn't the cold. I may have banged it into the roof rack, it may have had a mold defect/weakness. I'll swap it and see what happens.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Expandable
