Excellent rivets. I had no problems with these

excellent rivets. I had no problems with that. They hold up much better than the standard aluminum or steel rivets you can buy at the hardware store. My hand riveter had no problems with it. Planning to buy more for two of my new kayaks and accessories. ** Please mark this review as helpful if it helped you make a purchasing decision. **

Fine but I'll keep an eye on them

So far they're holding up strong enough to lift a 40 lb kayak by the rails and rod holders. The only thing I personally didn't like was that when the rivet breaks it goes very deep into the plastic which is a bit concerning. It won't come loose like regular metal rivets that sit flush with the top. I used marine grade silicone sealant for added security.

  • Great for a small home

Ideal for use on wheels! on Sports

On new fiberglass vans, these rivets are a great way to attach roof rails to walls, roof solar panel brackets, etc. Although they have an O-ring to seal water, you still need to use a proper sealant when using them. Unlike screws, they don't loosen over time! In addition, they are held securely behind the roof or wall cladding without a load-bearing frame element.

Works as advertised

I bought these to attach things to my kayak and after installing the rod holder base it was rock solid. Just be aware of o-ring placement if you are also using them to seal drilled rivet pilot holes. I removed the o-ring from each rivet, placed the rivet in each hole of the part to be installed, and then pushed the o-rings back onto the rivet so the o-rings were on the side that would be in contact with the Pop up. Where are the pilot holes.

Don't risk kayaking

I would not recommend this if you plan on assembling your gear and are going to be subject to any kind of violence. This is only good for the eye holding the rope in place, not the bungee holding your box, not the rod holder, not the anchor trolley. The figure shows that the rivets are much shorter than those of the yak. Notched rivet which means less attachment point/strength in your case. The quality is also not very good, you can eliminate multiple failures with rivets. Conclusion: get yourโ€ฆ

Great when a regular rivet won't work

I used this to repair a hard triple deck lid on my truck. Packing up at the end of a holiday, I was overcrowding the bed of the truck when I closed the lid, the latch hung but the items in the bed were pressing the lid too hard and ripped off the latch mechanism. I've tried regular rivets, but this lid is basically styrofoam covered in thin aluminum. They fell behind quite a bit within a few days. I tried adding glue before the rivets, it didn't change anything. They spread nice and wide in the

Anchor trolley on my Predator kayak.

I'm the only one here who actually used them for my anchor trolley (pulley block) system. If that doesn't work I can always widen the 3/16" holes to 3/8" using nuts. That being said, these rivets fit perfectly and feel very tight. The expanding end is 3/8" to 1/2" in diameter, lays perfectly flat and locks into place when expanded. Some people say that the shanks of these rivets broke early. I had no problems with that. Using a Harber cargo riveter with the correct diameter tip, I slowly andโ€ฆ

These navy blue rivets work great, ideal for my kayak and mounting accessories such as carry handles. They are all aluminum and come with a gasket. I strongly recommend not using a gasket as the pressure on them can be so great that they are crooked. Use silicone instead. Be sure to drill a 3/16 size hole so they fit snugly, use silicone. under the rivet head and also around the hole during installation. After installing the rivet, apply some silicone to the rivet hole to make it 100%โ€ฆ
