I've only had this item for two weeks. too early to give a full rating (hence 4 stars) assumes you can print approx. From 10 to 12,000 pages, depending on certain conditions. I haven't printed but about 125 pages (so far so good though). I hardly see any difference in printing between the EZ ink drum and the original Brother drum that I replaced. if it continues to work and last as long as the original printer drum (12,000 full pages, maybe more) I'll be very happy. Works great. A big difference from the previously purchased non-brother drum that creaked and squeaked like crazy and didn't last very long. This works quietly and smoothly. Time will tell if it holds up. So far very satisfied. Update: Worked well for a very long time. I ended up having to replace it with another one, and so far so good. Low price! This drum is TERRIBLE! I bought this a few months ago to replace an original Brother drum that failed years later. The replacement IMMEDIATELY started smearing and spattering the toner onto the top of the paper (never had a problem with the old drum). I was preparing to move and haven't had time to mess with it for months (I just used my other printer instead). Now that I finally have time to play around with it, I've tried cleaning the drum (didn't work), tried putting in a brand new cartridge

I've had a very hard time getting my Brother laser printer to recognize this drum. I tried it for a few days, then the light went out. It's been printing fine for 2 months and now it's telling me I need a new drum. My laser printer is excellent and I haven't had any problems since I bought it 15 years ago. Until I had to buy a new drum. The original drum lasted 15 years. This off mark lasted 2 months. I'm not impressed and will have to buy a real Brother drum. That's what I spent my money on.

I needed to replace the old drum in our Brother laser printer. I didn't want to spend the money my brother wanted so I went down this route not knowing how well it would work. At the same time I replaced the toner cartridge with a toner cartridge from a different manufacturer (different suppliers) and between the new drum and the toner cartridge the copies were as good as the day I bought the printer.
