Best Heater Lamp Ever

This heater lamp is perfect, my red eared turtle loves it, easy to assemble and comes with an extra bulb. I highly recommend this product

Almost burnt house

Thing gets too hot and doesn't latch well. Put it up and it was tight, but as the day progressed it fell off and was so hot it completely melted the turtle's cage and almost set my house on fire. It will be returned!

Cute little lightbulb

Cute little heating mat, warms well for its size. The only complaint I have is that the metal clip fits everyone so my husband had to undo it to fit around the rim of the tank. Otherwise it serves its purpose for my pet.

Works great for heat lamps

Works great and the turtle that almost hibernated is more active again. He seems to really like to bask in the heat. I'm not sure how much power it uses, although that could be a downside. But it was a great price compared to what pet stores charge for something like this.

Great little lamp, good price. Complete with lightbulbs.

Excellent flashlight. The only problem I had was the clip didn't fit the rim of my tank. I had to install a shelf bracket just above the tank and attach the lamp to the bracket. Which worked fine. In addition, the cable is not very long and the on/off switch is located on the cable. So keep that in mind when installing.

Worked for a year then became potentially flammable.

The form factor was perfect because the clip allowed me to install it anywhere. However, the light stopped working this week, about a year after I bought it. I opened it up and found that the wire's connector, which was partially ceramic, had disintegrated and one of the wires had come loose! I also found that the plastic insulation on the wires had melted. The wire and its sheath must be high temperature or thermally insulated.

Don't buy if you can't clip directly onto the glass like the photos show! And the lightbulbs are crazy!

If you don't have an aquarium without a top frame like the pictures, this won't work for you. Aquariums of a certain size typically have a plastic/metal frame at the top for structural support. If you have a similar framework, it will not join it! The clamp is too narrow and only clamps untreated glass. Also, because the screw is made of nylon, it's easy to break off if you don't tighten it perfectly. So don't expect the screw to last more than 2-3 distances. I don't even know if the lamp…
