Not scary, but not for heavy use

It's not scary. They mostly do their job, but for me they only lasted about 3 weeks. The lamp filled up in about a week. I had to take it off almost every day to clean it. So if you need this for some light bugs here and there, I think they're perfect for you. But if you live by a lake like me or need something to deal with heavy insects then you might not be the right person.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Price piggy bank

Turned out to be junk

These lights are great I don't know how bad they are for bugs. There are definitely a lot of dead bugs underneath though. I have them outside in a lamp that is open from below. These bulbs cannot get wet for obvious reasons. However, they work well as long as they are protected from moisture. Update: They have been used and the main lights went out on them. The company sent a new set. But now one of them has stopped working. This 1 of 4 still works. Let's see how long the update lasts: The last

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

After 3 weeks on the porch, 8-10 hours a day.

Revised: I live in Florida and the dusk is heaven and mosquitoes are on my little porch. It's usually indoors, but due to a renovation project, every bug on the planet lives on my back porch. I mounted them as a single light on a ceiling fan. The fan is off. The light will turn on for 8-10 hours every night for the dog door situation. Not a single dead bug on the carpet below. If I haven't missed anything, I see a blue light and nothing happens. Revised: You should document better. Errors fall…

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Big and Bulky
